Who we are and how to contact us
Norqia Digest is an independent, editor-led medical research publication. In this notice, “Norqia,” “we,” and “our” refer to the operation of this publication, not to the publishers, researchers, or social platforms we link to.
For privacy questions or requests, email contact@norqiadigest.com. Our data deletion instructions explain how to identify information you would like removed.
Information we receive
Messages you choose to send. Contact, topic-suggestion, and community forms can collect your subject, message, name, email address, organization, preferred reading level, and choices about follow-up or permitted use of a contribution. Some fields are optional. We retain the submission time, request identifier, editorial notes, handling status, and notification-delivery record. Correspondence sent by email is also handled by the editor’s email service.
Website and security information. Hosting and security systems may process your IP address, requested page, request time, browser/device information, referring page, and error or access information. The site uses this information to deliver pages, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and understand traffic. Public-form rate limiting uses a hashed IP-based key; hashing does not make all associated technical information anonymous.
Editor accounts. Authorized editor accounts have an email address, display name, role, password-verification data, session records, and sign-in/access logs. These accounts are separate from ordinary readership.
How information is used
We use submissions to answer questions, evaluate suggestions, organize editorial work, and provide follow-up that you request. Submitting a form does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Messages are stored in the private editorial inbox rather than automatically published.
The community form includes a separate choice allowing the editor to use a deidentified version of a contribution. That choice is not permission to publish your name, contact details, or identifiable health history. Publication requires editorial review.
Please do not send medical records, access credentials, identifiable patient-level data, or identifying information about another person, including a child. This is a research publication, not a confidential clinical consultation service. A parent or guardian concerned about a child’s submission can contact the editor.
Facebook Page connection
The Norqia Digest Facebook app is for the editor’s management of the Norqia Digest Page and distribution of reviewed content. It is not a Facebook login service for readers. Opening a Norqia article does not authorize access to your Facebook account.
The connection uses the Page identifier and name, authorization credentials, permission/validity information, and information about Page posts. Local publishing records can include the approved message or website link, content revision, post identifier, post URL, publication time/status, and error information. These records support publication checks, corrections, and duplicate-post prevention.
If you comment on or contact the Facebook Page, Meta processes that interaction and the editor may see information you make available there. The website link-publishing workflow does not automatically collect private-group discussions. Using Facebook, or opening a Facebook link, is also subject to Meta’s own privacy practices.
Services involved in handling information
Cloudflare provides website delivery, hosting, database and image storage, and security services. Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate submissions from abuse. The security check processes technical browser/network signals; blocking it may prevent a form from working. See Cloudflare’s privacy information.
Resend and the editor’s email provider support editorial correspondence and notifications. A form notification sent through Resend includes the subject and supplied contact details, organization, request ID, and time, but not the full message body. The subject itself can reveal sensitive information, so keep it general. Replies and direct emails may contain the information needed to address your request. See Resend’s privacy information.
Social platforms and research sources handle interactions on their own services. We link to Facebook, LinkedIn, PubMed, publishers, and other sources; those services have their own notices. Facebook’s notice is available in Meta’s Privacy Policy.
The editor and service providers involved in these activities may process information outside your state or country. We do not promise that all information stays in a particular jurisdiction. Disclosure may also be necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation or address abuse and security incidents.
AI-assisted editorial work
Norqia uses third-party AI services to assist with research summaries, comparisons, and editorial material. The local workflow includes providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and DeepSeek. Approved illustrations may also be created with AI tools. This describes editorial work, not a service that analyzes a visitor’s medical records.
Submitting a website contact or community form does not automatically send its message to an AI model. Any later use of a reader contribution requires a separate editorial decision, respect for the permission given, and removal of identifying information. Do not assume that medical or personal information is necessary to suggest a research question.
Cookies and technical storage
Editor sign-in uses a session cookie to keep authorized editors signed in. Cloudflare security checks may use cookies or other technical signals. Browser controls can restrict cookies, but doing so may affect sign-in or submission security checks.
The reviewed website does not require a reader-tracking account or include an advertising-pixel integration in its application code. Hosting logs, security processing, and traffic reporting still occur; this is not a claim that browsing produces no technical data.
Retention, deletion, and security
Reader submissions are not automatically erased when a reply is sent. They remain in the editor’s records unless removed; there is currently no single automated expiry for all submissions. Publication and revision records may be retained to document what was published. You can request deletion or ask about a particular record at any time.
Deleting a record from the active database is not the same as instantly removing every copy from email, provider logs, or backups. Those copies require separate review. If a limited record must be retained for a legal, security, or publication-integrity reason, we will explain the reason and scope in responding to your request.
The website uses HTTPS, authenticated editorial access, and private storage for reader requests. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Please minimize the personal information you submit.
Your choices and updates to this notice
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information Norqia holds about you, or withdraw permission for future follow-up or use of a contribution. We may need limited information to locate a record and verify the request. Rights and response requirements depend on the law that applies to your situation. Contact the editor through the deletion and privacy request process.
Changes to this notice will be shown on this page with an updated date. A revised notice does not by itself give permission to reuse an earlier private contribution in a new way.
